ID Requirements For TN Voters

Tennessee law requires voters to present valid identification when voting in person. Acceptable forms include a Tennessee driver’s license, a state-issued photo ID, a U.S. passport, or a military ID. IDs must be current or expired no more than four years prior to the election date.

If you do not have an acceptable photo ID, you may use a valid voter registration card or a utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and address. Bringing the correct ID helps ensure a smooth voting process at the polls.
